Stephen Kelly
Stephen F Kelly, a lifelong Liverpool fan, worked at the Camel Laird shipyard for six years before attending LSE. He then became a political journalist. In 1978 he joined Granada TV, working on programs such as World in Action, leaving to become a freelance writer for the Guardian, the Daily Telegraph, The Scotsman and The New Statesman among others. Kelly has written acclaimed biographies of Kenny Dalglish and Graeme Souness as well as what is probably regarded as the definitive work on the man himself, the late Bill Shankly.
Tracy Kendall
Tracy Kendall has worked in the textiles department of the Royal College of Art. She also designs and produces her own innovative range of wallpapers and works with numerous well-known fashion designers on dyeing and printing projects.
Erika Knight
Erika Knight is a renowned design consultant to the fashion and yarn industry. Originally from a fine art background, she has worked in most areas of knit and fabric design from original concept, garment design, pattern and print through to yarn design and production. Her signature designer hand knit label – Molto! – was highly successful across the globe, leading her to work with design companies in Italy and the U.K., as well as ‘high street’ brands in the U.K., U.S.A., South Africa and Australia.
Bill Katovsky
Bill Katovsky was a journalist and editor, and the author of books such as The World According to Gore, Patriots Act and Embedded: The Media at War in Iraq. He worked in media for more than 31 years, and passed away in November 2015.
Emma King
Emma King is a talented knitwear designer who is set to inspire knitters across the world. She is a Design Consultant for Rowan Yarns and also has her own company, supplying her knitted bags and limited edition kits. She uses her passion for colour and texture to create designs that will make knitters everywhere want to pick up their needles.
Florence Kennedy
<p><strong>Florence Kennedy </strong>set up Petalon, her ‘bouquets by bicycle’ flower delivery company, in 2013. Petalon sends stunning seasonal bouquets across London every week with the help of Kennedy City Bicycles (manufactured by Florence’s husband, James). </p><p>Florence’s floral style focuses on the character of the flowers – letting their natural shape and movement dictate her work rather than creating designs that look manicured or forced. As Petalon’s popularity has grown, so has the demand for Florence’s floral expertise at weddings and events, which are now an integral part of her business alongside the flower deliveries.</p>
Asma Khan
Asma Khan moved to Cambridge in 1991 with her husband. She comes from a royal background – Rajput on her father’s side and Begali on her mother’s. After training as a lawyer Asma registered for a food business, which began life as a supper club in her home in Kensington. In 2015, she opened a pop-up in Soho to much acclaim, and Darjeeling Express the restaurant opened its doors in June 2017, perfectly positioned in Kingly Court in central London. Darjeeling Express has been joined by its sister site Calcutta Kitchen in Fulham. Asma was voted ‘Female Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the Asian Restaurant Awards 2018, as well as ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the Asian Women of the Year Awards.
Sybil Kapoor
Sybil Kapoor is one of Britain’s most respected food writers. The author of eight books, she began her career as a chef in London and New York and has since won many awards for her writing, including two prestigious Glenfiddich Awards, two Michael Smith Awards from the Guild of Food Writers and Food Writer of the Year at The Fortnum &amp; Mason Food and Drink Awards 2015. Her features have appeared in the Guardian, The Sunday Times, the Financial Times, Sainsbury’s Magazine, Delicious and Waitrose Food Illustrated, amongst others. Her bestselling books include Modern British Food, Simply British and Taste: A New Way to Cook. She contributes to The Economist’s 1843 Magazine, House &amp; Garden and the award-winning Borough Market Market Life magazine.
Patrick Kennedy
<p>Boston native Patrick L. Kennedy has written for the <em>Historical Journal of Massachusetts</em>, the <em>Boston Globe</em>, <em>Bostonia</em>, <em>Boston’s Weekly Dig</em> and the <em>Boston Irish Reporter</em>. Kennedy attended Latin School and holds degrees in history and journalism from Boston College and Boston University. He is the author of <em>Boston Then and Now</em>.</p>
