Bestselling author and journalist Sarah Gristwood presents her new biography of two extraordinary women, Vita & Virginia, examining their lives both together and apart.

Vita Sackville-West and Virginia Woolf make for a remarkable tale of femininity, sexuality, art and politics in a modern world. Gristwood’s scrupulously researched biography shines light on their brief but ardent love affair and enduring friendship which lasted until Woolf’s tragic death.

This is the story of Virginia Woolf, beacon of the Bloomsbury set, feminist icon and one of the greatest modern writers. It is also the story of her once lover, aristocratic Vita Sackville-West, a writer herself and the creator of the glorious gardens at Sissinghurst.

Sarah Gristwood is s a best-selling Tudor biographer, former film journalist, and commentator on royal affairs. She has appeared in most of the UK’s leading newspapers and magazines.
