James Campi Jr. is a political communications veteran who holds a lifelong interest in the Civil War. He is currently responsible for government and public relations at the Civil War Trust, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Civil War battlegrounds. He has edited several books on the Civil War and has successfully lobbied for $100 million in government grants for historic preservation.
